Sara Robalo is a singer, guitarist and composer. She has been involved in a variety of professional music projects throughout her career, in a variety of genres including choirs, bands, and ensembles. Having played keys and guitar from a young age, as a 9-year-old Sara was selected to feature in the choir for Portuguese artist Candida Branca Flor’s studio album No Jardim-Escola João de Deus (Universal Music). Sara is also one of the original members of the award-winning ACM Gospel Choir, and has graced the stage in venues such as the O2 arena, Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium, The Bedford, and Dorchester Hotel.
Sara is competent and experienced in the most varied professional situations, from studio to live performances, on both radio and TV, with credits including work with the likes of Scouting For Girls, Russell Watson, Hayley Westenra, Alfie Boe and Beverley Knight. She has sang on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, ITV’s Ultimate Movie Toons, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and BBC Proms in the Park; and recorded in London’s legendary AIR Studios. Sara has also worked with producer Glenn Skinner (Boy George/Debbie Harry/Lighthouse Family) and had her original songs featured on TV and radio, including syncs on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks and in SEGA’s BAFTA-winning game Alien: Isolation. Along with her band, she supported Johnny Borrell of Razorlight on one of his tour dates, and regularly performs with original and functions acts.
Sara’s music training includes a BA (Hons) in Commercial Music from the University of Westminster as well as qualifications in Popular Music Practice, Guitar, and Vocals from the Academy of Contemporary Music.
